Leicester City react to allegations of wife assault against Ahmed Musa

British police reportedly arrested and quizzed Leicester City forward, Ahmed Musa for allegedly beating his wife, Jamila hours after Leicester City’s win over Sunderland. Neighbours of the 23 year-old revealed that he was picked up by plain-clothed police officers who took statement from the alleged victim before leaving with him. He was later released without charge.
“A 24-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning at his home address near Leicester on suspicion of common assault,” a spokesperson for Leicestershire police revealed.
A Leicester City statement as quoted on the UK Mirror reads: “We are aware that Ahmed Musa has today (Wednesday) cooperated with a police inquiry relating to a disturbance in the early hours of this morning. The inquiry has since been closed and no further action is to be taken. We see no reason for formal action internally, though Ahmed will be given the opportunity to discuss the matter with football management when the squad returns to training on Friday.”
The couple who live in Countesthorpe area have two children, Ahmed Jnr and Halima.
