The 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) nomination party has been scheduled to hold in Malawi from March 14 to March 17, 2013.

AMAA nomination party will hold in Malawi because of the level of popularity and acceptability of African films, most especially Nollywood and Gollywood movies.

“The government and people of Malawi are excited about the prospect of having movie icons and other players in the motion picture industry coming to the country for the event.” Tony Anih, AMAA’s Administrative Secretary revealed.

The main event will take place by April 2013. Nomination parties have been previously been organized in Gambia, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana and Burkina Faso.
